Up for your consideration at auction with out reserve I offer this Rare WWII USAAF/ RAF Sector clock Made by Seth Thomas. It Is not currently Running. I am no clock expert and have little knowledge on these old time pieces. However upon close inspection I noticed that the balance staph appears to be leaning to one side. I have been told that this could indicate a "broken" balance staph. Also I note that a couple (2) of the small brass screws, that hold the Dial on to the case, are missing. Otherwise I would say that the clock and movement are in very good condition. This being said I will be selling the clock "AS IS" for parts or restorationBy my understanding, it was used by the Allied Expeditionary Air Force: a partnership between US Army's IXth Air Force and UK's Royal Air Force's 2nd Tactical Air Force, during World War II to plot enemy aircraft movements. This is an original model to the best of my knowledge. The words "Made by Seth Thomas in U.S.A." are printed along bottom of clock's face. With Original painted clock face and Bakelite water resistant casing, which still has the original cork "O"-ring gasket laid in the hinged door. "General Electrics" logo is cast into the back. Comes with OUT a key for winding up the clock.ITEM SPECIFICS AND DIMENSIONS:CASE DIAMETER: APPROX 10-1/4" FRONT TO BACK DEPTH: 2-7/8" JEWELED MOVEMENT
