A SEVRES 19th CENTURY On the bottom outerside is a little bit of glazing missing as visible on the photo. It is not a chip. The Cup has a stunning painting in the front with a Romantic Scene of a Couple, reserved against a blue ground . The painting is surrounded with a silver layer. The top edge and bottom of the cup is protected with the same silver. The fine delicate handle is covered with a fine silver layer. The inside of the cup is painted with a branch and tendrils. There are two paintings on the saucer, one with musical instruments with grapes and the second with a cross bow and arrows with pink roses reserved against a blue ground. The edge of the saucer is protected and decorated with real silver, aswell the two paintings are surrounded with real silver. The center of the saucer is also decorated with the same silver. This 19th Century Sevres Cup and Saucer is with a relief raised silver layer garland thats applied around and around. The bottom is marked with the stamp from Sevres 19th century , blue crowned interlaced L's enclosing date letters C and beneath another mark 73 It's a very rare and exceptional 19th Century Sevres cup and saucer and a real piece of art to have in your Sevres Collection.
