Up for bid is a Sevred Coffee can, cover and saucer soft paste coffee can and saucer, This piece is hand painted with enamel and gilt decoration, Vienna, Austria, c. 1768The coffee can painted with neoclassical scene of a girl and dog and a cottage & garden in a panel against a pink ground. All pieces have heavily gilded detailing against a pink ground.(-1) Saucer, undercut base, deeply recessed well, upcurved wedge.(-2) Coffee can, undercut base, straight flaring sides, loop handle with double terminal Marks (-1:2) Saucer marked under base with shield mark with double diagonal lines in underglaze blue. Inscribed under base with P date mark illeg. incised marks. (-2) Coffee can marked under base with shield mark with double diagonal lines in under glaze blue. The can has no chips cracks or repairs. It has stilt marks on the bottom from the kiln on each piece. This is a museum quality piece. Good luck on your bidding! Shipping will be $ 8.00 insurance is an extra fee.
