SEVRES ENAMEL&BRONZE OPERA GLASSES DETACHABLE HANDLE Sevres Enamel & Bronze Opera Glasses Detachable Handle. This exquisite pair of hand painted opera glasses displays vibrant coloring with its deep red background and delicate floral medallions. Accenting the glasses are tiny raised dots. The handle is detachable, and the view is detachable on said handle--a rarity! The glasses are 6 1/4" from the tip of the handle to the top and 4" across the lenses. The lenses have a diameter of 1 1/4". Made by Lamaire in Paris, France, and distributed by CD Peacock in Chicago. Patent dates of 1882 and 1885. Fabulous condition, no chips, cracks, or repairs.
