Sevres Fr Artist Signed Hete Art Nouveau Porcelain Lamp I just purchased this Sevres porcelain lamp from a local estate in Central Virginia. The lamp was converted from a handled urn with a brass fitted cap covering the original ormolu mount. The lamp consists of two porcelain inserts, the main body decorated with a central medallion showing a maid flanked by purple irises. The ormolu mounts show fine embossed detail with figural maidens at the lower handle attachments. The lamp is in very good condition with no damage to the porcelain inserts, other than the professionally drilled opening for the central lamp rod. The hand painted finish is in very good condition with light signs of wear and a few fine scratches. The ground is a pastel green luster which shades to white, I'm unsure due to the shading how much of the green is worn. The lamp measures 14 ½" to the top of the handles, 25" to the finial, and 7 ½" in diameter. The base bears the pictured Sevres mark " France ", the medallion is signed "Hete" at the border. This lovely Art Nouveau design would make a nice addition to any collection of Sevres porcelain. I DO SHIP WORLDWIDE.
