You are bidding ON THE MOST GORGEOUS Severes Porcelain egg shaped box. The box has a reticulated top with applied and hand painted flowers, fruits and vegtables, the base also has hand painted applied flowers, all over hand painted decoration, gilt metal frame with hinge and gilt metal seperator between the egg and base. The piece is marked on the base with the Sevres mark which from what I can tell is a early mark. It is also is marked in hand painting" Modele et decoration esclusive a' la main". Both of these marks are underglazed. The box is in perfect condition and has been very well taken care of. The box measures 8 1/2" T and 4" W.
