AMAZING STORIES, VOL. 14, #4, APRIL 1940, Ziff Davis Publications, cover by Julian Krupa, interior illustrations by Paul, Morey, Fuqua, Krupa, CONDITION is FINE+ with small chip gone bottom left front cover, the pages are WHITE PAGES, an exceptional copy. Auction Estimate $80- to $160 (1 item) This PULP is from the collection of Harry Warner Jr., who began his collection of science fiction magazines in 1930 and continued through the 1970's. His British titles came directly from the editors in England , and many of his American copies were Review copies sent directly from the publisher. He was a famous author of two important histories about science fiction fandom, and was also renowned as a pioneer publisher and collector of science fiction fanzines. I observed that many of the PULPS in these item listings inside heavy boxes wrapped with twine and newspapers that were dated 1952 and 1953 - they had not seen the light of day for over a half a century! Because of these extraordinary storage conditions, most of these PULPS exhibit very high grades, near perfect spines with no fading, above average paper quality, and high-gloss brilliant covers. Expensive and Rare material (anything over $1,000 per item) is sent Priority Mail (U.S. Post Office), insured, and registered with a return receipt letter green card. In 40 years of shipping everything from an Action Comics #1 to Expensive originals I have never had a registered package lost. LEVEL 2.) Purchases lower than $700 US domestic, or cheaper goods, can be shipped Priority Insured. I now use Priority boxes with FLAT RATES, and if you have fewer than 20 comics - I will try to save you on postage with these, this method using FLAT RATE boxes usually saves buyers in California and Oregon the most money. Heavy weight or large bulk purchases, w TIME is NOT a factor, these orders can be sent MEDIA MAIL with insurance, to further save you money on shipping.Foreign Clients have to suffer expensive rates on shipping and insurance.
