Sgnd Old Art & Crafts Reading Floor Lamp, Screen Shade ... This early 20th century Art & Crafts Floor Lamp was used primarily for reading. It is a low floor lamp which would stand next to your favorite reading chair. The large 19 ½" diameter shade tilts in any direction so you could shine up to 3 light bulbs, which are a standard size. The shade is made from a very fine brass screen with an applied A&C design that is raised. The third photo shows the true colors of this shade. Underneath t is an attached label that says, "U.S. Patent, 1733451 & 1795294, Mutual Sunset Lamp Company, Brooklyn NY." The base is made from solid brass with a weight Iron Base and a piece of green Agate. This base is also signed just under the ring, up towards the top of the lamp. One foot on this lamp is a little green, but t are no other damages or repairs to this exceptional A&C Lamp. You casn adjust the hieght of this lamp from 49" tall to 46" tall.
