Beautiful Shabby Antique Marble Slab From Victorian Dresser Shades of Grey

We just got back from the Route 127 World’s Longest Yard Sale. I always shop down Western Ohio - gorgeous farm country, and barn sale after barn sale - I’m in heaven! On the way to the sale, I stop at an Amish farmer’s barn in Indiana - he’s guaranteed to have some great rustic oldees and barn finds. LOOOOOOTS of stuff to post this week. Fabulous farm primitives, cool advertising, lovely antiques, and of course, the Maureen wacky finds - you‘ll want to check every day, because it’ll take me all week to get it listed. Enjoy!

Here is a gorgeous piece of heavy marble that came from the center front of an old Victorian dresser. I'm calling it shabby in my title because of chips, scratches and stain spots on the piece - nothing compromising it's structure, and all part of its story. It measures 16" by 8" by 7/8" thick, and weighs 10 3/4 lbs. The colors are shades of grey - from very light to quite dark. I'm showing close ups of the type of nibbles, rubs and chips that you see on the perimeter of the piece, as well as light scratches and scrapes to the front.
