We have taken antique tin ceiling from an 1890's Victorian home in upstate NY, and made it into a BEAUTIFUL mirror! Why settle for the 'look', when you can have the AUTHENTIC thing for the same price?!
The overall size of the frame is 21 across x 28" high. The opening is 15" x 21". The width of the tin is 3". It is painted in a pretty old antique pink paint, with some original surface rust. It has a very pretty ribbon & floral pattern. It is SOOOO Shabby Chic! We salvage old fluted molding, clapboard,beadboard & tin ceilings from old Victorians & farm houses(1890's-early 1900's) in upstate NY. All the homes were beyond repair. As seen in Anthropologie stores .. We have wrapped the tin on a board and added a hanger. OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY! Due to my neutral feedback , I am revising my listings. Since this tin is 100+ years old , and has withstood 100 yrs of original weathering and aging.... t is a strong possibility that the tin might have some DIRT on it! So, if you want something shiny new...please DON'T bid on my items . Thank you! ;) . We do a light cleaning of the wood, but leave it as found. Please note that this paint might contain lead, due to the old age.
