You are bidding on a limited edition of 200 serigraphfeaturing the ghosts and façade of the Haunted Mansion attraction in Walt Disney World by artist Shag. This piece is titled “We’re Dying to Meet You” and was created as a limited edition of 200 hand-serigraphed pieces and was released by surprise, exclusively at Walt Disney World. Measuring 26 inches in height by 28 inches wide, the image is carefully printed on heavyweight paper and is signed and numbered in pencil by Shag. This is not the petite print or photo reproduction of this amazing work. Rather, it is the large-scale, multi-color serigraph designed by Shag for release. It is only the second limited edition serigraph released by Shag in honor of the Haunted Mansion. The piece depicts the façade of the Haunted Mansion in Walt Disney World. In front of the mansion are a collection of Disneyland’s famous spooks. They include the hitchhiking ghosts, opera singer, headless knight, and ballroom ghosts, all standing in the mansion forecourt. The mansion is framed by dark silhouettes of branches, with Shag’s trademark owls perched atop them. In the foreground, on the far right, a tombstone reading “The Haunted Mansion” and “Disney World” is featured with a black raven perched atop it. This piece is a companion to the Haunted Mansion 40 th Anniversary serigraph released in 2009 that featured the Disneyland Haunted Mansion surrounded by similar characters. It is a numbered limited edition of 200, with this piece being #134 of the edition size. The piece will come to you in the original custom framing and matting done by Disney. It measures 38 inches wide by 36 inches high. It is accompanied by the certificate of authenticity issued by Disney and Shag and also featuring the #134 of 200 edition information. This is an extremely low edition size for any Shag serigraph, made even scarcer by the popularity and appeal of the Haunted Mansion. The piece will come to you in the original custom framing and matting done by Disney and accompanied by the certificate of authenticity. It will be shipped in the original Disney shipping box. It has never been displayed and comes with all original packaging. Item will come to you in excellent original condition, carefully inspected by a longtime Disneyana collector to ensure the quality of the piece you are receiving.
