19TH CENTURY SHAKER SEWING BOXThis is a great maple Shaker sewing box with a lift top compartment that holds spools of thread that feed through the eyelets in the front, sides and back of the case. This sewing box is ALL ORIGINAL!!The total size is 9" wide, 8" tall, that includes the original pin cushion on top, and 5 7/8 deep. There are 6 nails for the thread under the lift off top. There are 3 holes on the front, 1 hole on each side and 2 holes in the back. The drawer is for needles, extra pins, thimble, and other sewing items.If you are lucky enough to find one of these Shaker Sewing Boxes, it is usually in poor condition. This one is perfect!! A wonderful item for someone that sews or quilts.Good luck on this great Shaker Box!!
