Offering this very handsome 10 volume set of The Shakespeare Library, no publisher or publish date, only marking is RF at bottom of spines, Volumes included are: Vol 1, The Tempest, Two Gentleman of Verona, Merry Wives of Windsor, Measure for Measure, & The Comedy of Errors; Vol 2, Much Ado About Nothing, Love's Labour's Lost, A Midsummer Night's Dream, & The Merchant of Venice; Vol 3, As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew, All's Well that Ends Well, and Twelfth Night; Vol 4, The Winter's Tale, Pericles Prince of Tyro, King John, King Richard II; Vol 5, King Henry IV, V, and VI (pt one); Vol 6, King Henry VI (pt 2 & 3) and King Henry VIII, & King Richard III; Vol 7, Troilus and Cressida, Coriolarius, Titus Andronicus, & Romeo and Juliet; Vol 8, Timon of Athens, Julius Caesar, MacBeth, and Hamlet; Vol 9, King Lear, Othello, and Antony & Cleopatra; Vol 10, Cymbeline, Venus & Adonis, The Rape of Lucrece, Sonnets, A Lover's Complaint, The Passionate Pilgrim, Sonnets to Sundry Notes of Music, The Phoenix & the Turtle, and a Glossary. Each book measures 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 inches, hardboards are bound in burgundy leather; gold lettering on fronts and spines, plus there is a gold gilt impression of Shakespeare on bottom of spines. Near fine condition, no spine cracks, fraying, chipping, or stains, like new. Page edges are gold gilt on all three sides. Pages are clean and crisp, they still crackle like a book that has never been read or even opened. Each has a dark red satin ribbon marker. These ten volumes come in a burgundy covered case, has all titles listed on inside of lid. Back corner of box has a corner tear, which could be repaired, does not really detract. This is a very handsome set of Shakespeares writings that could be proudly displayed and enjoyed!
