To calculate any other units of measurement, please go to: / Number for sale: 1 Marks: Martz M175 incise in base Provenance (if any): None Pertinent information about the features, history, genre , or artist: Gordon Martz not a close kinsman of Karl Martz. It was coincidental that both Martzes made ceramics in Indiana in the second half of the1900s. Gordon Martz and Jane Marshall met as students at the NY State College of Ceramics in Alfred, NY. In 1951, they joined the Marshall Studios in Veedersburg, Indiana, which was founded by Jane's grandmother Jesse in 1922. In 1951 it was run by Marhsall familiy including Jane's father Nicholas and her mother Grace. The originally product line was lampshades and woodwork.
