A rare opportunity to own a genuine pair of Shane 'Shakey' Byrne's Alpinestars Supertech R boots autographed by him.You can not buy these boots in the shops. They have his '67' race number printed on the main shell and his initials printed on the inside. He's a UK size 8 if you want to wear them yourself!The story on how I got these boots:I'm a club racer with The British Motorcycle Racing Club (Bemsee) and one of the riders in my class had a crash on Paddock Hill at Brands in 2010 resulting in a life changing head injury. We're talking a lengthy coma followed by years of very slow progression to the point now that he's able to spend a a day or two at home with his wife. He's able to say a few words and can walk short distances with the aid of a walking frame although he's still paralyzed down one side. He need's to be cared for and requires private physio therapy among other things. We raise as much as we can via raffles etc to try and help the financial burden and keep him with the services he needs to continue his recovery.We simply asked Shane if he could help in any way and he kindly donated these boots and 2 signed Pirelli caps so we could auction them for the cause.
