"Shanghai Local Post Card" China c.1866-1890's Shanghai, China c.1865- c.1890's. A "Shanghai Local Post Card" (Postal Card). The Shanghai Municipal Council authorized a Local Post Office for domestic mail c.1866. The Local Post Office was discontinued in 1896 after the establishment of the Imperial postal service a few years earlier. The card measures 12cm wide x 7.5cm high (4.75" wide x 3"high). Not posted, in fine condition. The back of the card is without printing. PayPal in the USA or International. Postal fees: $1.50 for North America and $2.75 for overseas International for regular air post. Payment must be made within 7 days of the auction closing.
