A 3 OUNCE VERY RARE SLAB OF FINE HARD GEM BLUE SHATTUCKITE ROUGH WITH SOME ASSOCIATED GREEN AJOITE FROM THE NEW CORNELIA MINE AT AJO, ARIZONA. THIS SLICE MEASURES 3 INCHES BY 2 INCHES BY 3/8 INCH THICK AND IT IS READY TO TRIM AND SHAPE INTO BEAUTIFUL STONES. THIS IS ONE OF ARIZONA'S MOST UNDERRATED GEMSTONES, ITS FIBEROUS NATURE GIVES THE STONE GOOD TOUGHNESS AND IT TAKES A SUPERIOR POLISH.THE CONTRASTING ALMOST NEON GREEN COLOR OF THE AJOITE IT MAKES AN EXOTIC CAB, I ACQUIRED THIS SLAB BACK IN THE 1950'S.THE CABOCHON SHOWN IN THE LISTING PHOTOS IS INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION AND WILL BE DELIVERED WITH THE SLAB TO THE WINNING BIDDER.
