This auction is for a 1940's Shawnee Puss-n-Boots Cookie Jar, With Matching Salt and Pepper Shakers. This Cookie Jar and Salt and Pepper Shakers belonged to my Grandmother and was Never used, it just sat on her counter. It has the Maroon Bow and yellow bird on the hat. The salt and Pepper Shakers have blue birds on their hats. T is only a small area of crazing on the inside of the cookie jar But no other discrepancies. The condition of this cookie jar ia GREAT no chips cracks or repairs. The Salt and Pepper Shakers are in Great condition too only missing the stoppers which can be easily replaced. The cookie Jar is marked on the bottom: Patented Puss-n-Boots U.S.A. The Cookie Jars is 10 1/2" tall and the tail is the shorter tail coming around and stopping behind the boot. The Puss-n-Boots Cookie Jar can be found in Warman's Cookie Jar Book By Mark F. Moran on pg 220. This is truly a Treasure and would make a very fine addition to any collection. Dont let it get away !
