My former Sheaffer Rep., now retired, stopped by this week with some pens he found laying around his home. Prior to becoming a Sheaffer Rep, he was a salesman for Parker. All are either brand new or were very seldom used. Offered now is a remake of the iconic Sheaffer Crest fountain pen. This is the Opalite color, which is a marine green/blue marble pattern. The cap is 23K Gold Electroplated. This example was used by our former rep as a display piece and is in near mint condition. The pen is equipped with an 18K medium point and Sheaffer did a nice job of recreating the conical nib of the Sheaffer pens of the 1950s. No flaws on the cap, barrel or section and the pen's imprints are nice and deep. The white dotted clip is tight and the cap posts nicely. This fountain pen would make a great addition to any Sheaffer collection. Also, check our other auctions as we have the matching Opalite ball pen also listed.
