As with most of the pens you'll find for sale here, I've had this Sheaffer fountain pen stored away for decades. In fact, this was one of my grandfather's pens, and he died on Halloween in 1980 at the age of 92. The barrel bears his name in white and also discreetly carries the Sheaffer name and the familiar site of manufacture, Fort Madison, Iowa. The number "1500" resides below that. The cap sports a white dot above the cap while the same lifetime denotation sits at the end of the barrel. The pen remains in great cosmetic condition without scratches, dents, teething or anything else beyond light, honest use. Sheaffer executed the nib in 14K gold, and I think this is the Triumph two-tone model; at any rate, it also betrays no issues and doesn't have a lot of flex.I've never learned to repair pens and this example will sell "as is". The buyer must assume that the bladder will need replacement, but at least it's not rattling around inside. The last two frames of the gallery will provide measurements. We'll ship this for $2.50 and we combine shipping in favor of the buyer.
