This is a vintage Sheaffer White Dot Snorkel Fill Fountain Pen. Its in classic black with Gold filled accents. The accents show no signs of brassing and shine up nicely. The pen measures 5 5/8" capped. The pen has no bite marks, cracks or splits, just a few surface scuffs. The Silver Wraparound nib is marked Sheaffer made in USA and on the underside of it is a rare F4 mark. Its unusual that these marks survived , they were only done for a few years in the 50's and most of then had been polished out. This pen has the unique Snorkel Fill system that still moves smoothly, works and writes nicely.This nib looks like a fine point.I could not find an imprint on the barrel, I'm not sure if this never came with one or if it has been buffed out.
