An interesting old vise by SHELDON. It has to pairs of jaws; one normal 7" wide set, currently with wood inserts. The other pair are on an elongated pair of arms, are only 4" wide, and have metal inserts. So, once it's mounted to the bench, the little lever on the housing is loosened, allowing the user to rotate and bring the other pair of jaws up. It's all in good condition except that the hand socket is a shop-made job of two pieces of pipe welded together. Seems strong enough, but I have to mention it. I have not used this vise myself, I bought it at an estate sale. Weight 34lb. 11oz. GENERAL NOTE: I get all my stuff at estate sales. I sell this stuff to support my other hobbies, and am not necessarily an expert in any field. Feel free to ask for photos, or ask questions.
