This ships bell striking clock contains the same fine quality movement used by Chelsea in their renowned maritime timepieces. It is housed in a beautiful mahogany case with burl inlay and satinwood stringing on the front. Two of the finials are replacements, but they are exact duplicates. The 6" dial is in excellent condition and is marked, "Samuel Kirk & Sons, Baltimore," presumably the firm that originally sold the clock. This clock runs well, keeps excellent time, and strikes the ships bells properly on a heavy coiled gong. This is any unusual and very impressive clock.
