Offered in this auction is a large Shelley ( England ) plate in the well-known Queen Anne 'Blue Iris' art deco pattern The plate is in excellent condition - just some rub-off to small areas of the the blue edging (possibly manufacturing flaws) and a couple of very small knife marks near the centre. T is no crazing or chips or other marks and the plate has a very clear 'ping' when tapped. It measures 240 mm (9 ½") wide at the handles, 210mm (8") high and approx. 25mm (1") deep. The usual Registration Number (723404) is absent save what appears to be the tail end of it (in green). The red Pattern Number 11561 = the genuine mark for this manufacture -is present. The pattern was introduced by Shelley circa 1927. The pictures form part of the description. Bidders must email me before the close of the auction with any questions. I will ship worldwide for a flat shipping cost, including insurance. (The rate shown does not apply to Australia or New Zealand ).
