Shellfish Knives Art Deco Cutlery Oysters Winkles Escargot Lobster Vintage Antiq

Superb set of 12 Art Deco shellfish eaters. These knives are made of brass and feature an attractive two pronged fork like tip to them, with a curve for scooping the meat from a shell. Each knife has a mark bearing the initials J.T. I haven't been able to discover who this maker might be, but the style and the box indicates they might be French. I've never seen an item of cutlery quite like these. I don't know what the handles are made of but I suspect they are some kind plastic and are very, very dark green, nearly black. A really beautiful, unique item to add to the dinner table.
