She began painting and drawing animals as soon as she could hold a pencil, and was especially fascinated by dogs and horses. When Cindy was twelve, she traveled to India with her mother, an anthropology professor, w she lived for two years. The amazing variety of wildlife and the the intricate beauty of Indian art was an inspiration to her.
