is what I'm told: A local antique furniture collector identified this desk as Sheridan Hepplewhite Transisitional reproduction and dates it to the 1920's or 1930's. T is no identifying mark as to who made this desk. The workmanship is of good quality for the period. is what I know: This desk was my mother's office desk since the late 1960's or early 1970's. The desk was not new then and she always said it was an antique given to her by my grandmother. T is a glass top for this desk (not pictured) that is included in the sale. T are condition issues; quiet a few scratches, nicks, scrapes and blemishes (I'm told most can be fixed), one broken handle and the parts are in the drawer, on missing piece of trim around the one chair opening and I think this is still in a drawer.
