Description Sheriff's Badge Up for auction is this fine, Vintage, Jefferson County, Texas Sheriff's Badge. This conforms to eBay's police to sell Police badges on eBay I believe this badge to be vintage and no longer in use I believe this badge to be older than 75 years This does not resemble the modern badge This badge features a star with a top banner reading "Sheriff" and bottom banner reading "C. H. Meyer". T is a circle with an inner star reading "Texas" around the star. The outer center circle is engraved "Jefferson County". This badge appears to have been melded onto an older badge as the back of the star reads "Jr. Deputy Sheriff" on a top banner and "Harris County" around the center circle in reverse lettering. The clasp for this badge is a circa 1910 barrel clasp. This badge measures 29.8mm (~1 5/32") tall. I believe the top portion of the badge to be gold, though I am not certain of the karat and the bottom to be silver. This item is in excellent, original condition.
