Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Sherman, Vintage, Late 1950's - Aquamarine & Lavender Blue AB - Round and Marquise Shaped Crystals - 2" Floral Capped Tiered Open Garland - Brooch and Earring Set. RARE DESIGN & COLOR COMBINATION - MINT CONDITION! - NO RESERVE! This handsome and impressive set dates from the late 1950's, made by the well known Canadian firm of "Sherman" designed as a large sized, tapered 2" by 2" floral capped, triple tier open garland layered and stacked for a 3-D effect. The brooch is done in a series of dazzling and intense aquamarine and lavender blue AB color round and marquise shaped crystals set in a rhodium plated setting. The brooch comes with a pair of 1" cluster earrings that match the details in the brooch. The set is in mint condition showing only normal use all the original stones, none missing or replaced with no loss to the plating or finish. The brooch is marked on the back, Sherman in a small silver square and the earrings on the back of the clips. SHERMAN Sherman was a Canadian costume jewelry company that produced very high-quality pieces. Colorful or clear prong-set rhinestones or cut crystal beads (sometimes with an aurora borealis finish) adorn most Sherman pieces; the metal is rhodium-plated or gold-plated.
