SHIKAMI NOH THEATRE MASK - JAPAN SHIKAMI NOH THEATRE MASK - JAPAN Shikami masks are demon masks. The large furrowed brow, the fang like teeth and snarling mouth exhibit a ferocious manner. The red complexion indicates the degree of rage expressed by the demon. Fierce scowling face, showing extreme agitation, used for demonic spirit. It expresses masculine rage. Shikami mask features the application of dark red color to crow's-feet and temples of the head. Approximately 8" x 6". Composition and Pigment. From the collection of Nicole Shoening who operated an ethnic arts business, "Weird and Wonderful", in Los Angeles,until she retired because of illness in 1981. Buyer to pay S/H and Insurance.
