Hi and welcome to my auction. I bought this recently at an estate sale and it really has me stumped. This is some sort of ships sailing log, I do not know what ship it is from. T are tons of Longitudes, Latitudes, charts, etc...that I just do not understand. Towards the back of the book, t are several pages that mention a school. Maybe this was some sort of log that the student used? I just don't know. I also don't understand the dating system they used. T are dates out of order. The only thing I can think of is that this log has sections. They did several things in a day and put the info in different parts of the log. Most of the dates are 1878 with some in the back of 1894. Inside the front cover is a name: Andrew Sepp, 1894. Book is in excellent condition. The pages are not torn, and are very clean. Spine has split about three inches on the outside (see photo). Log meausres 8 1/2" X 14". I entered a random longitude and latitude on the internet and came up with Bahji, Israel. Please, I do not know if I did it correctly, just did it for fun. I'm hoping someone can make sense of this very old logbook. I took lots of photos, you can see how nice this is. Really a neat piece of antique maritime memorabilia. Thanks for stopping by!
