Notice to return buyers: I have decided to sell Harry's ENTIRE collection of autographs on eBay, and am doing so alphabetically, piece by piece. In most cases t is only one autograph left per personality, and duplicates will not be offered. If you are looking for a particular autograph, please be patient, as they will all eventually be listed, even the rarest ones (Monroe, Bogart, Gable, Grant, etc.) Groups of autographs, bulk sales, and off-eBay transactions will NOT be possible, so please don't ask. ~ ~ ~ This is SHIRLEY MacLAINE 's {1934 - } ORIGINAL autograph [Steel Magnolias, Terms of Endearment, The Trouble with Harry, Around the World in 80 Days, Hot Spell, Career, Can-Can, The Apartment, Ocean's Eleven, Irma La Douce, Gambit, Being T, Cannonball Run II, Postcards from the Edge, Guarding Tess, Bruno, Bewitched, Closing the Ring, etc.], given on May 14th 1959, on the back of a 3"x5" index card ~ ~ ~ This autograph was given to the famous DAILY NEWS photographer, Harry Warnecke, who photographed thousands of famous icons throughout his career (many of which can still be seen today at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.), which spanned the 1930s, 40s, 50s, and 60s, and included notables such as Jackie Gleason, Cary Grant, Clark Gable, Humphrey Bogart, Orson Welles, Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, Winston Chirchill, Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe and thousands of others. He requested an autograph on the back of an index card from each celebrity, and has a collection of literally 1000s of signed index cards. This autograph was taken from Mr. Warnecke's vast collection ~ ~ ~ I do not have a COA for this item. My wife is Harry Warnecke's neice and only surviving relative. This is how I have access to his collection of autographs. Please do not ask for a COA, as I cannot provide one. If you are a collector of autographs, I'm sure you'll be able to tell that this is the real deal just by looking at it. If you purchase this item and have it appraised, and the appraisor states that it is a forgery, I will gladly provide a full refund. I'm telling you now though that it is NOT a fake. Please check my eBay feedback of over 2000 positives and not a single negative or neutral. I have never sold an unauthentic item on eBay, and I take my seller's reputation very seriously. ~ ~ ~ NONE of my signatures are secretarials, auto-pens or signed by publicity departments. Many vintage signatures, even those signed in fountain ink, were signed by "stand-ins" simply because celebrities, at the peak of their popularity, could not possibly sign thousands of letters or photographs for fans. This is what publicity departments were all about. It's why many so-called vintage and original signatures are forgeries, many sold without intent to defraud and without the knowledge of the seller.
