This is the newest of the series of Shirley Temple picture books, 14th in the series but none are really numbered. The photos from 1934 and 1935 feature Shirley visiting a farm and making friends with a rooster, hen, rabbit, calf, goat, cows, horses, pigs, lamb and dogs. She starts out typically uneasy but very quickly she relaxes to show love as she holds the rooster shown with her on the cover as well as the other animals. She learned to bottle feed pigs, brush a calf, carefully hold a young goat, and sit to drive a farm wagon, even to ignoring the cameraman. T are photos with her dogs and pony Spunky plus a visit to the Los Angeles County Fair a bit later to sit behind the Carnation stables driving team and pick up piglets to display. T are 34 captioned photos plus pages of reprints from newpapers and magazines. She loved the farm; she loved the animals; and you may just love the many rare photos in this 2007 book. Autographed, if requested. Postage in US by first class parcel $2.00. Listing created with eLister 2.7 for Macintosh from Black Magik Software.
