Wooden Hand Carved - SHIVA STATUE Product Info With the distinctive third eye which is used to distinguish truth from illusion and show his position as Lord of yoga; the moon in the hair to show he is Lord of the Dark; the distinctive coils of the hair in the shape of a conch shell which hold a woman named Ganga, of the Ganges River (and because he protected her fall to Earth, both Ganga and the Ganges are found in Shiva's matted tufts of hair), and the adornment of cobras which show his refusal to react or respond to any threat or temptation, this carving really would make a beautiful centre piece. Once the carving is finished, the wood is then sanded, oiled, waxed and polished by the world famous Balinese wood carvers. And, like all products sold by PozTech, this statue has been made specifically for us on a Fair-Trade basis.
