Shoji Hamada Salt Glazed Unomi Measuring 3.4" (8.5cm) high Lovely salt glazed unomi / teabowl / chawan by Shoji Hamada Salt glazed with two combed bands highlighted with a blue glaze Lovely shell imprints where the unomi has been fired (see photo 5) Unsigned PROVENANCE: Given to the previous owner by Janet Leach as a gift. Purchased by myself from David Lays Auction, Penzance. I can provide the Lot number and a photocopy of the catalogue entry to the buyer CONDITION: Broken and crudely restuck. Very old repair I assume by Hamada or Janet Leach. It is broken into 3 sections and there is also a 4" hairline. Couple of tiny fleabites but no chips. POSTAGE: FREE UK.
