Here is one of my favorites from my collection--JAPAN 50 Sen banknote World War II issue captured at Namur, Kwajalein Atoll, Marshalls, February 2, 1944. Typed "Taken from dead Jap officier on Namur Isl. Kwajalein Atoll, Marshalls 2/2/44" and signed James F. Smith, USMC. Roi-Namur is an island in the northern part of the Kwajalein atoll in the Marshall Islands . Occupied by Japanese forces prior to World War II , it was the target of the U.S. 4th Marine Division in the Battle of Kwajalein , in February 1944 . From my own personal collection of "short snorters" of over 20 years. I will be adding more "short snorters" and World War II notes in the coming weeks and months. Check out my feedback and buy with confidence. Shipping fee includes insurance.
