I say this because 1 out of every 10 eBay sales I have made of musical equipment has resulted in the buyer having buyer’s remorse since I tend to buy and sell more unique/rare music equipment. That said, this item is in overall very good condition---you will not have any issues if you have done your research on this item. Take confidence in my solid eBay reputation of all absolutely satisfied eBay buyers.DESCRIPTIONFor physical/cosmetic condition, a picture is worth a thousand words. Please see pictures at https:///109733455533461132425/SielMK900Keyboard# . Generally speaking, the keyboard is in great condition. The only issue worthy of even raising is it is missing a battery cover on the underside of the unit (I have never used batteries in the unit, and it functions perfectly fine without them and the cover). Power supply is not original but works fine. Serial # 2865.SOUNDA youtube video is worth a thousand words. I made an impromptu rush video for this unit a while ago at /watch?v=b0vvMczYg3E . As noted in the video, all sounds (except for maybe the drums) are from this Siel MK-900, with no effects used. There are some other videos, but they are really amateur and do nothing to arouse my interest in the unit---I guess they are helpful in hearing some of the other sounds. In sum, these videos don’t do true justice to the sound of this thing. There is one very cool effect/filter called “Detune” on this, which when combined with the “Chorus” effect, creates a sound best described as similar to Boards of Canada. Unfortunately, I don’t have the best sound equipment---I recorded my youtube video of this through a Tascam 8-track digital recorder, which really makes all my recordings sound thinner than they really are. The Siel MK900 has a much fuller sound than you are hearing. I will also mention, I only used maybe half the presets on this keyboard for this video. There are other sounds you may be able to get a taste for through other videos. I really have not scratched the surface for the possibilities of this keyboard. In my opinion, the keyboard has a variety of sounds reminiscent of the PPG Wave, Roland Juno, Roland Jupiter/MKS. I.e., those great, early digital machines.BACKGROUND INFORMATIONI am not much of a keyboard tech or historian. I can say this unit has MIDI. I believe it is digital, but not entirely sure---the effects have such an organic sound that I would think the filters are analog. The keyboard was manufactured from 1985 through 1988. So even if digital, it is early digital. Regardless, as you can hear from my video, the sound is far from digital---very unpredictable and dirty (I wouldn’t say gritty, but definitely not 90’s squeaky clean).That's the best I can do on background. You can collect bits here and there from the Internet, but as you will find, there is not a lot of information on the Siel MK-900. They are not commonly sold on eBay, and given its totally unique sound, it will give whoever purchases it a rare and uncommon sound.I will be happy to answer any questions and post them for everyone else to see if they are generally applicable or useful in my opinion to others. SHIPPING I will pack very well. You may notice, I only ship Priority. While this may be more expensive than freight, it is in everyone's best interest.
