This Sigma telephoto lens has not been given much work; so I'm hoping that someone else can make better use of it. It is very useful on a Nikon digital (DX) camera because of the camera's 1.5x cropping factor....thus, this lens becomes a monster 225-750mm telephoto lens, instead of the 150-500mm. As stated, this lens hasn't been used hardly at all. (Check the photo of the rear lens element and you'll see that the metal hasn't even been scratched from installing it onto the camera!) I couldn't find any scratches/rubs on the lens either. There's been a Tiffen circular polarizing filter on this lens since day one and it will go with the lens because it's an 86mm size and I have no other lens that takes such a large filter. And, considering that this lens is designed for outdoor use, a circular polarizing filter is recommended for better picture taking. Everything works as it should on the lens.
