This GORGOUS Oklahoma Trail Quilt features is one the the most beautiful I have seen. If you are a fan of hand quilting you will appreciate the skill and expertise this quilter demonstrates in its prolific use of motifs and extra fine and precise quilting in tiny 24 - 26 stitches per inch (counted both sides). It looks like a pretty 2 color quilt from a distance but look closer and see if you can find the simple flowers, oak leaves, tulips that surround the sunflowers. Have a second look at the triple border and find the double line trailing vine within the grid and next to it a double rope. Did I miss something? Oh yes, this proud quilter cross stitched her initials in the corner and dated it 1931. Used but not abused, this quilt is in fantastic condition. The white is as white as snow and the pink color is a dusty rose shade of pink. The fabrics and batting used in its making are all 100 % Cotton. There are no signs of spot fading or wear on the fabrics and they are in new condition. This quilt is super CLEAN and light and lofty. It feels fantastic. I cannot find fault anywhere with the exception of some shifting of the batting that is noticable on the back side. Fortunately, this quilt is so lofty that it is not bothersome.
