This auction is for a signed, new & unread hard cover copy of "Saxophone Colossus: A Portrait Of Sonny Rollins" By John Abbott (Photographs) and Bob Blumenthal (Text). Sonny Rollins, John Abbott and Bob Blumenthal signed the book in front of me, on the title page. Mr. Rollins drew a sax in his signature. The signing took place at the Tribeca Barnes & Noble book store in New York City on September 14, 2010. As a bonus and proof of signatures provenance, a B&N Sept. 2010 event flyer will be included with the book. At the winning bidders request, I will email the photos from the event. The gentleman wearing a cap on photos # 4 & 6 is Jimmy Heath. The book was published by Abrams , New York. The full number line reads: 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1. The ISBN is: 978-0-81092-9615-1 . This copy is new and unread, only opened to be signed and to take a picture of the signatures. The book is not ex-library or remaindered. The binding is tight.
