If you love things vintage, quality and special , then you will love what I am offering up for sale today! This estate find is a beautiful and very heavy Bradley & Hubbard ornate floor lamp. It seems to be made of cast iron yet has a beautifully smooth finish even on the bottom. The Smithsonian Castle holds a wonderful collection of Bradley & Hubbard lamps. B&H products have had the reputation of being considered producing items of the "highest quality and artistic merit". This lamp is signed on the bottom of both shelves: "B & H" and "2132". T is an additional "2132" on the middle section of the top shelf. Finished in Etruscan gold color and exquisitely cast with an attractive grid design, you won't be disappointed in this wonderful lamp. Around the sleeve just below the bulb area reads, "PAT'D JUNE, 18, 1878 PAT'D APRIL 4, 1876 PAT'D JULY 3, 1888". It is obvious that someone has replaced the socket part of the lamp and the cord needs replacing. I'm not sure w the cord is supposed to fall but it is tied to the inside of one of the legs with wire. I don't know the age of this lamp and wondered if it was converted to electricity. The square mirror on the bottom shelf has a small chip out of one corner and has a few black age marks. The original eight-paneled shade is made of a beautiful floral finely woven metal mesh.
