This antique, SIGNED "Grasso", Hand Carved/Sculpted, Terra Cotta Sculpture is spectacular piece of ART! This is substantial piece standing approximately 5 3/4" tall. It is from a series of 5, which I am currently listing on eBay. This one features a women on a donkey carrying apples and walking aside a sheep- EXQUISITE craftsmanship! Including: sheep's fur, apples and basket details, sumptuous layers to her dress, etc. - I have never seen a terra cotta sculpture this detailed. The original sticker still attached. Also printed "S.no Grasso, Catania - Made in Italy" - swipe of brown paint on the back - on all pieces. The artist paid incredible attention to every detail and expression. The workmanship and effort involved in this figure is astounding. Hand Made - this (and the rest of the collection) would be wonderful as a decorative collectible in a variety of settings, such as the home or office, and a wonderful gift. It is fully carved (all sides, from front all the way around the back). I've done my best to capture all the details, so please see photos! It's exquisite! It is in EXCELLENT condition.
