Signed Antique Nautical Harbor 16x24 Oil Painting Tall Ship Early 20th CenturyThis auction includes free shipping with FedEx Ground to the contiguous United States. BartalFrame Size: 26 5/8" x 19"Visible Artwork Size: 23 1/8" x 15.5"Medium: oil on canvasThis is one of four antique oil paintings that I purchased at the same estate sale. Each one is in a similar wood frame that is painted gold. They had about a dozen old paintings hanging above the couch, all in similar frames. I bought what I thought were the best four. The paints are all antique, but since the frames are all similar they were probably subbed in sometime later, but not recently.This one shows two men on a rowboat going out or coming from a tall ship. It looks like there is another tall ship and sailboats in the background, and a steam tugboat on the left side. The signature is on the bottom edge, and not visible on the front. The canvas has a few slight indentations, and two rips. The rip to the left of the foreground tall ship is 1 1/8". There is a green stain on the front of the top right of the frame. The back of the stretcher bars have some wear where it comes in contact with the wire._gsrx_vers_625 (GS 6.9.7 (625))
