ANTONIO RAVINAL IS A GUATEMALAN ARTIST WHO USES A SPECIAL TECHNIQUE CALLED CHIP CARVING IN ORDER TO SUGGEST THE RICH AND COLORFUL TEXTILES THAT ARE WORN IN GUATEMALA.
HE HAS A COUPLE OF WOOD CARVED SCULPTURES ON DISPLAY AT THE GLENCAIRN MUSEUM IN BRYN ATHYN, PENNSYLVANIA.
THIS PARTICULAR PIECE IS 10 INCHES WIDE BY 4 INCHES DEEP BY 10 INCHES TALL.
HIS NAME IS CARVED INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE PIECE.
