This "Loop Garlands on Lace" paperweight from Baccarat is from their "Gridel" series. This one features a large central Black Hunter silhouette on white, surrounded by a ring of canes. As is standard in these "Gridel" weights, the design includes all 18 of the Gridel figures. In this weight the other Gridel figures are set in an inner six-lobed garland. An outer six-lobed garland completes the design. The millefiori rests on a White lace ground. The weight is 3-3/16" in diameter and 2-3/16" high, and is signed with a "B1974" cane in the inner garland, and also with the Baccarat acid etched logo and the edition number "144" on the bottom.
