Bernard Corey (American, 1914-2000) "Summer Trees". Signed "Bernard Corey" (bottom right). Oil on board, 9.5x 12.5 in. (24.13 x 31.75 cm), framed. Condition: Very GoodBernard F. Corey is considered one of the very best plein-aire artists of the 20th century. He achieved National recognition, winning numerous medals and hundreds of awards from shows throughout New England and New York. He was an active member of the Salmagundi Club of New York City, Rockport Art Association, Guild of Boston Artists, Allied Artists of America, Academic Artists, Hudson Valley NY Art Association, American Watercolor Society and many more.
