A Fantastic Rare Limited Edition animation Serigraph print featuring Scrooge McDuck entitled "I MAY HAVE TO SPEND SOME OF THIS STUFF" from Walt Disney's creator of Scrooge McDuck , Carl Barks . In 1971, Mr Barks began doing oil paintings of his Walt Disney characters, and sold some of them for as little as $200 dollars. Back in 1996, one of these very paintings was sold at auction for $230,000! An alternative to the paintings, are serigraphs of some of Carl Barks oil paintings. This serigraph on paper was made available exclusively to attendees of the 1998 Disneyana Convention and comes with it's certificate of authenticity from the studio. This great print has been signed by Disney Artist Carl Barks , the father of Scrooge. The C.O.A. is also signed by Carl Barks. A special certificate was also created for the convention and is included in this lot. The print is unframed and in great condition. The entire piece measures 20" x 24". I MAY HAVE TO SPEND SOME OF THIS STUFF, with the sub-title "50 Stingy Years Worth" is the last Carl Barks serigraph produced by the Carl Barks Studio, exclusively for Walt Disney Attractions. It was produced from the original color-pencil drawing which Carl Barks completed in 1996/1997 (?). It was made in one edition of 500 copies + (8 Artist Proofs). This is a limited edition serigraph , not a painting, read more
