This is a beautiful Millefiori Murano glass paperweight. Looking into it you might think it is a most elegant "Land of Murano Glass Millefioris" (a thousand flowers). The paperweight comprised of a dome of gleaming clear Murano glass, a wonderful infused black Murano glass base and dozens and dozens of multicolored and varied-shaped millefiori Murano glass pieces. The colors include every color of the rainbow and more and GLOW as they sit on the black glass base. Like most Murano glass paperweights, it creates a miniture world - one so intereseting that you could look at for hours and hours and then for hours and hours more. The papeweight is three inches tall, has a base that is 2.75 inches and is approximately 11.00 inches around its widest point. It weighs more than one pound and 13 ounces. This is a one of a kind, handmade paperweight created by master Murano glassblowers at the furnaces of La Murrina in Murano Italy. This paperweight is a signed piece. The La Murrina signature is etched into the Murano glass. La Murrina represents two thousand years of art and tradition.
