STUNNING!! Signed "CZECH" AMETHYST Step GLASS Gilt NECKLACE Offered here is an AMAZING example of an antique, ART DECO, "Czech" glass necklace, signed "CZECHOSLOVAKIA" on the clasp.....and estimated to be circa 1920/30's. This GORGEOUS antique necklace features a Large, faceted "Architecturally" shaped jeweled station as the focal point. The Large AMETHYST colored glass jewel is held within three forked prongs and is flanked on each side with prong set Amethyst "Stepped" glass. The glass jeweled station is mounted on open backed Gilt frames and measures 1 7/8 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches tall. It suspends from a BEAUTIFUL chain comprised of Hand Faceted AMETHYST glass beads with Gilded "Petaled" caps. The closure is a spring clasp that is original to the necklace.....and is fully functional. The metal is GOLD GILT over Brass. The necklace is a SPECTACULAR piece that is just to DIE FOR!! It measures 16 inches in length. This GORGEOUS antique necklace is in IMPECCABLE condition!! There are no nicks to be found anywhere on this piece and the Gilt is still bright!! There are a few manufacturing flaws on the central jeweled station and also here and there on the glass beads....visible with magnification ONLY. It does look as if it were stored and RARELY Worn!!
