SIGNED GRANT WOOD "1941 HAWKEYE YEAR BOOK-University Of Iowa" SIGNED GRANT WOOD - - from the collection of Nan Wood Graham, sister of the artist Grant Wood You are bidding on this 352/page - 1941 Year book of The University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA. This edition is the #50 anniversary of the first Hawkeye year book that was published in 1891. This was the last book w in Grant Wood was listed as a full professor of Fine Art at the Universtiy of Iowa. He died 12 February 1942, one day before his 51st birthday. This 68 year old year book remains in excellent condition and belonged to the artist and shows his signature and the address of his home in Iowa City. After his death from liver cancer, it became the property of his estate and executor, Nan Wood Graham. T are NO other scriptations or missing pages. It is a tabloid of both Yesterday & Today with more color, detailed layouts, better photography, more pictures, and a more complete representation of student - faculty life. This "Golden" anniversary issue is indeed a rare treasure to enjoy as well as to own! 8 1/2" x 11" inches, embossed vinylite (blue/gold) cover weighing some four pounds. Opening bid starts @ $.99.
